Scottie Thompson Sustains Hand Fracture Injury

In a disappointing turn of events for basketball fans, the versatile guard of Barangay Ginebra, Scottie Thompson, is set to miss out games in the Gilas Pilipinas training camp in Lithuania due to a hand fracture injury sustained during practice. Thompson's absence raises concerns about the national team's chances in the upcoming FIBA World Cup.

Following their successful camp in Estonia, the Philippine national basketball team decided to continue their training in Lithuania. However, the team will have to proceed without Thompson, who will be confined to the sidelines as he recovers from his injury.

The fracture, which occurred during practice, has left Thompson unable to suit up for Gilas Pilipinas. Medical experts have estimated his recovery period to be between 3 to 4 weeks, making it uncertain whether he will be fit in time for the prestigious tournament.

Upon his return to Manila, Thompson is expected to undergo a re-evaluation by doctors to assess the progress of his recovery. Fans across the nation are deeply saddened by the news as they consider the Barangay Ginebra standout a reliable and invaluable asset for the national team.
